# Tom Tucker

The male news anchor at Channel 5 in Quahog.

## Core facts

- **Role:** News anchor at Quahog 5 News
- **Voiced by:** Seth MacFarlane, credited in every listed episode
- **First appearance:** Death Has a Shadow (S01E01, 31 January 1999). He has been in the show since its first episode.
- **Credited appearances:** 4 episodes across 4 seasons. This is a floor, because the source records at most ten voice credits per episode.

## Character

Tom is portrayed as arrogant and reads the news in a baritone. Before coming to Quahog he worked as an actor.

## Relationships

- **Framed by:** Diane Simmons, who in And Then There Were Fewer plots to kill the programme's version of the actor James Woods and frame Tom for the murder
- **Linked storyline:** [Muriel Goldman](muriel-goldman.md), whom Diane kills in the same episode after Muriel witnesses the plan

## Common errors to avoid

- **The credited count is not his real total.** The four credited episodes are a minimum. He has appeared since the pilot, which is not among the four.
- **He did not commit the murder in And Then There Were Fewer.** Diane Simmons planned to frame him.
