First broadcast on 4 May 2008. ## Story The Griffins wait at the vet's for news on Brian, who has stomach pains after eating one of Stewie's used nappies. Chris falls for Anna, a young intern, while Peter takes a parrot and leaves a dog in a top hat in its place. He names the bird Adrien Beaky and carries it everywhere. His friends suggest he look more like a pirate, so Peter dons pirate clothing, assembles a crew and calls himself Long John Peter. He raids a British man's car for sugar cane, tobacco and spices, but Adrien Beaky is fatally wounded in the fight. Back at the vet's, Chris and Anna start dating. Peter tells Chris that women prefer bad boys, so Chris insults Anna and she leaves him. Lois tells Chris to sort it out himself. He injures Brian as an excuse to return to the vet's, apologises to Anna and wins her back. ## Production and reception - The first broadcast was watched by 7.68 million viewers, second in its timeslot to ABC's Desperate Housewives and down 9 per cent on the previous episode. Club graded it A minus, both singling out the pirate battle sequence.
