## Story

Stewie and Brian answer messages from viewers with three stories, following two earlier viewer mail episodes. The first, a send-up of The Lord of the Rings, accounts for the loss of Chris's earring: Chris plays Frodo, carries it towards Mount Doom, and Stewie's Gollum destroys himself along with it. The second takes the Griffin ancestors east along the Oregon Trail to Quahog, where they seize a cabin from an indigenous family. The third is a surviving episode of Quagmire's 1960s variety show, which closes when the 1970s arrive.
