About Loretta Brown
Loretta Marie Callender Brown is the late first wife of Cleveland Brown and the mother of Cleveland Brown Jr. Alex Borstein voices her, and she first appeared in the first-season episode "Mind Over Murder". Early appearances gave her almost nothing to say beyond a single murmured note of agreement. She treated Cleveland harshly and eventually had an affair with Glenn Quagmire, which ended the marriage. Her stated interests were cricket and the sitcom Friends. She dies in her forties in "Gone with the Wind", an episode of the spin-off series, during a return to Quahog: Peter swings a brontosaurus skeleton that Brian had dug up from a mobile crane, demolishing her house and dropping her from the first floor while she is in the bath, and the fall breaks her neck. The same running gag is used on Cleveland throughout Family Guy. Her burial was in Stoolbend, and her will left her fortune to Cleveland Jr.
