I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar

Episode 8 of Family Guy season 2 (S02E08), the 15th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Chris Sheridan and directed by Monte Young. First broadcast on 28 March 2000.

Story

Peter ends up with tickets to a comedy club after a timeshare sales pitch. At the club he drinks, goes on stage and mistakes laughter at his spilled beer for approval of his jokes. At the toy factory he tells a sexist joke that offends colleague Sarah Bennett, who sues him and the company for sexual harassment. Her lawyer Gloria Ironbachs sends him to sensitivity training, and when that fails he is ordered to a women's retreat. He comes back effeminate. Lois at first welcomes his sensitivity but soon tires of it and asks his friends for help, without success. At a women's gala Gloria blames Lois's life as a housewife for Peter's old attitudes; Lois defends her choice and the two fight. Aroused, Peter rushes Lois home, and afterwards he is back to his old self, to her relief.
