The Fatman Always Rings Twice

The episode plays as a 1940s detective story with the cast recast. Peter is a private investigator hired by Lois's character to find her missing daughter, a nun played by Meg. The trail leads to a cardinal, played by Carter, before word arrives that the young woman has been shot. A roll of film found with her body ties both the client and the cardinal to the mob, whose junior member, played by Chris, is running illegal drink. The cardinal is stabbed before he can be questioned, and the detective is framed for the shooting. Brian's reporter bails him out. The culprit proves to be his secretary, played by Stewie, an orphan avenging his treatment. Seamus stops a final attempt on the detective's life.
