Lottery Fever

Episode 1 of Family Guy season 10 (S10E01), the 166th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Andrew Goldberg and directed by Greg Colton. First broadcast on 25 September 2011.

Story

Lois puts the family on a stricter budget, and a news report about the lottery prompts Peter to buy a ticket. He then admits he has taken out a second mortgage to fund several thousand of them. The family hunt for three days before finding that Peter printed those tickets himself, but the genuine batch arrives and they have won. Peter quits his job and spends freely, backing Quagmire's projects and lending Joe money, then demanding painful favours in return until both men end the friendship. Lois warns him that he is changing. At a restaurant his card is declined and the winnings have gone. He wins and loses a second fortune, then apologises at the bar, and Quagmire and Joe offer him a share of his own investment.
