Stewie Loves Lois

Episode 1 of Family Guy season 5 (S05E01), the 81st Family Guy episode overall. Written by Mark Hentemann and directed by Mike Kim. First broadcast on 10 September 2006.

Story

A flu outbreak hits Quahog and Peter talks Dr Hartman into giving him a scarce vaccine. Hartman notices Peter has never had a prostate exam and performs one. Peter leaves convinced he has been assaulted, and Lois laughs at him. His friends claim the same experience, so he sues. In court Peter embellishes the story until the judge rules against Hartman and revokes his licence. Peter then develops urinary trouble, and no doctor in town will treat him. He returns to Hartman, admits he was wrong, and is examined: the trouble is a minor infection and blockage. Hartman's licence is later restored. Meanwhile a dog tears up Stewie's teddy bear Rupert at the park. Lois mends the bear, and Stewie becomes devoted to her. His clinginess wears her down. On Brian's advice she ignores him, he falls down the stairs, and her apology sends him back to hating her.

Production and reception
