Family Goy

Episode 2 of Family Guy season 8 (S08E02), the 128th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Mark Hentemann and directed by James Purdum. First broadcast on 4 October 2009.

Story

Peter falls for a cardboard cutout of Kathy Ireland, then rips it in half and buries it in the garden. Making up with Lois, he finds a lump on her breast. The test is clear, but Dr Hartman sees in her records that her mother survived the Holocaust, making Lois and the children Jewish. Carter admits hiding this so the family could join the country club. Peter embraces Judaism until the ghost of his father Francis warns him he will go to Hell unless he is Catholic. He then tries to turn the family back and becomes increasingly hostile to Lois over her heritage. Encouraged by her mother, Lois holds a Passover Seder, which a drunk Peter tries to wreck dressed as the Easter Bunny. Jesus appears, notes that he is Jewish himself, and tells Peter to treat other faiths fairly. Peter and Lois apologise to each other.
