Spies Reminiscent of Us
Episode 3 of Family Guy season 8 (S08E03), the 129th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Alec Sulkin and directed by Cyndi Tang. First broadcast on 11 October 2009.
Story
With both bathrooms at home occupied, Peter starts using the toilet in Cleveland's empty house. The house is soon rented by Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd, whom Peter invites to dinner and fails to impress with his comedy. Stewie and Brian investigate the pair and find a secret facility beneath the house. The actors explain that Ronald Reagan recruited them as real spies and that they are hunting a Soviet sleeper agent in Quahog. Brian and Stewie join them. The agent turns out to be Mayor West, who is triggered by accident, flees to Russia and launches a nuclear missile at the United States. Aykroyd hacks the guidance system so the warhead explodes harmlessly in the upper atmosphere, though the fuselage lands on Cleveland's new house in Virginia. Meanwhile Peter, Quagmire and Joe form an improv group, and Peter's John Wayne impressions bring their only show to an early end.
