April in Quahog

Episode 16 of Family Guy season 8 (S08E16), the 142nd Family Guy episode overall. Written by John Viener and directed by Joseph Lee. First broadcast on 11 April 2010.

Story

Local news reports that Stephen Hawking has found a new black hole out at the edge of the solar system. Peter, called up for jury service, tries to get himself thrown out of court. That evening the news says the black hole will destroy the Earth within a day, and the town sets about last wishes. As the countdown ends Peter tells Lois that he loves her but cannot stand spending time with his children, at which point the anchors reveal the report was an April Fool. Meg, Chris and Stewie stop speaking to him. Peter tries taking an interest in each of them in turn, and only wins them round by buying an Xbox 360.
