Season 9 · Episode 10 · First aired 13 February 2011
Friends of Peter G.
Episode 10 of Family Guy season 9 (S09E10), the 157th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Brian Scully and directed by John Holmquist. First broadcast on 13 February 2011.
Story
Peter smuggles spirits into a screening of The Sound of Music, and Joe arrests him and Brian for the disturbance. A court orders both to thirty days of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Reasoning that the members have nowhere to drink without being judged, the two take crates of beer to the next session, and when a noise complaint brings Joe round the group passes the hall off as a church and sings him back out of the door. Peter then drives home drunk, hits a tree and dies. Death offers a second chance, showing him a future wrecked by drink and then a life without it in which he is insufferable and does not know Joe or Quagmire. Peter settles on moderation, and starts binning half of every pack, to the benefit of the seagulls at the tip.
