The Thin White Line

Episode 1 of Family Guy season 3 (S03E01), the 29th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Steve Callaghan and directed by Glen Hill. First broadcast on 11 July 2001.

Story

Peter wins a cruise for the family through a competition at work. Before they leave, Joe notices how sharp Brian's nose is and recruits him to sniff out drugs for the police. During an airport search Brian catches a traveller carrying cocaine, accidentally inhales some and becomes addicted. The family stages an intervention with his psychiatrist and spends the holiday money on rehab. Peter, with no cruise to go on, checks in too, and the pair disrupt the clinic. Peter is blamed for Brian's problems, but Brian defends him and discharges himself. At a party for his return, Brian announces he is leaving Quahog to look for something that excites him.
