PTV

Episode 14 of Family Guy season 4 (S04E14), the 64th Family Guy episode overall. Written by Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild and directed by Dan Povenmire. First broadcast on 6 November 2005.

Story

A cold open has Stewie fight Osama bin Laden and ride a tricycle through film scenes, nearly hitting Homer Simpson. A wardrobe malfunction by David Hyde Pierce at the Emmy Awards then leads the FCC to censor anything on television that might offend. Angry at cuts to old shows, Peter takes Tom Tucker's advice and starts his own network, PTV, showing uncut programmes and new ones made with Brian and Stewie. The channel is a hit, but Lois worries about its effect on children and reports it. The FCC shut PTV down despite Peter's song about their rules. Peter says real life cannot be censored, so the FCC start censoring Quahog itself. Lois supports them until the rules stop her and Peter having sex. She apologises. In Washington, Peter persuades Congress to rein in the FCC by noting how much the city's buildings resemble body parts.

Production and reception
