You May Now Kiss the... Uh... Guy Who Receives

Episode 25 of Family Guy season 4 (S04E25), the 75th Family Guy episode overall. Written by David A. Goodman and directed by Dominic Polcino. First broadcast on 30 April 2006.

Story

Brian's cousin Jasper arrives with his Filipino boyfriend Ricardo and announces they are to marry. Everyone is pleased except Lois, who opposes same-sex marriage. Mayor West, having put the town in debt with a gold statue of the cereal mascot Dig 'Em, proposes a ban on gay marriage to distract voters. Brian gathers 10,000 signatures against it. Lois will not add hers, and leaves for her parents' house with Stewie. Chris, who joined the Young Republicans to impress a girl called Alyssa, burns the petition for a promised grope. Brian collects 10,000 more, but West throws them out of the window; Brian seizes a guard's gun and takes the mayor hostage. There, Lois sees that her parents no longer love each other and changes her mind. She persuades Brian to surrender. West drops the ban and the charges, and marries Jasper and Ricardo in the Griffins' garden.
