Episode 25 of Family Guy season 4 (S04E25), the 75th Family Guy episode overall. Written by David A. Goodman and directed by Dominic Polcino. First broadcast on 30 April 2006.
Story
Brian's cousin Jasper arrives with his Filipino boyfriend Ricardo and announces they are to marry. Only Lois, who opposes same-sex marriage, is unhappy. Mayor West, who has put the town in debt with a gold statue of the cereal mascot Dig 'Em, proposes banning gay marriage as a distraction. Brian gathers 10,000 signatures against it. Lois will not sign, and goes to her parents' house with Stewie. Chris, who joined the Young Republicans to impress Alyssa, burns the petition when she offers to let him touch her breasts. Brian collects 10,000 more, but West throws them out of the window; Brian seizes a guard's gun and takes the mayor hostage. Watching the news at her parents' house, Lois sees their loveless marriage and changes her mind. She persuades Brian to surrender. West drops the ban and the charges, and marries Jasper and Ricardo in the Griffins' garden.
